ABOUT NMIMS – NGA-SCE

NMIMS Global Access School for Continuing Education (NGA -SCE) offers PG Diploma, Diploma and Certificate program in management. Our courses are designed keeping in mind the requirement of distance learning, based on the most relevant and industry updated curriculum.

NMIMS Global Access – School for Continuing Education under NMIMS Deemed-to-be University, Mumbai offers management education through a blended learning model. The academic deliverables offered for each course include the following:

E-Books:

We aim to provide students with the ease of anytime, anywhere access of course content. That’s why, e-books for all courses are accessible via the Learning Management System.

Online Session:

Online Lecture delivery is conducted via a dedicated e-learning platform. Online lectures cover the learning of the entire course content. The faculty interacts and collaborates with students thereby ensuring enhanced student engagement. Recordings of the online sessions are made available to students for future reference over LMS.

Personal Contact Program (PCP):

These sessions are conducted by faculty of the NGA-SCE exclusively at NMIMS Regional Offices. Personal Contact Programs aim to include the following as per the session plan of the course:

• • Addressing student doubts and queries
• • Group activity/discussion
• • Case study discussion

A Study Plan is a well-organized schedule which we provide to our students. It helps them study in a way which ensures optimum results at the end of the course. It is an essential tool for time management to make sure that the course provides minimum interruption to your professional life.

Blogs posted over the Learning Management System focus on the latest industry news and happenings which pertain to the respective course. We aim to make our students have a good understanding of the industry and aim to give them a keen insight into all that happens within it. Our blogs aim to foster healthy discussions and promote learning amongst our students.

Case Studies at NMIMS:

Case studies have become an integral part of the course structure at NGA-SCE. A case study is a description of an actual business situation involving a decision to be made or a problem to be solved. Case Studies are used for a range of purposes such as to illustrate best practice, apply tools, invite discussion, facilitate decision making and develop skills in critical and creative thinking at all levels of Management.

We provide our students with presentations as a part of the courseware. Presentations enable the students to understand topics in a concise format. The presentations are prepared by the faculty of NGA-SCE so as to facilitate quick and easy learning for the students which can be accessed anywhere.

Aumni Network

Welcome to the Alumni Network of NMIMS Global Access School for Continuing Education.

THE ALUMNI NETWORK

The Alumni Association has recently been established specially for the alumni of NMIMS Global Access School for Continuing Education. We aim to form alumni groups region wise to drive activities, organise events and networking opportunities in their local regions. The alumni groups will be led by regional alumni ambassadors.

Some activities which we plan to execute via our alumni network are:

• • Peer interaction via Discussion and Blogs:
  Our alumni portal allows you to connect with your peers by profession, batch, or region. You can share news, experiences, and job opportunities with your batch mates and find other alumni to connect with at NGASCE Alumni Connect. We at NGASCE Alumni Connect will keep you updated of all the latest happenings and events. We hope that you keep posting and updating to make this endeavour a success!
   
• • Jobs Postings:
  The highlight of the Alumni Portal is Job Postings where you can browse through the latest job openings from the companies where our alumni are presently working. The Alumni Network also provides you the advantage of gaining references from alumni working in the company you wish to apply to. This is a huge advantage for our current students as well as for our alumni.
   
• • Networking Opportunities and Events:
  Alumni events are a great way to come together with your peers to reconnect and network. As a part of the activities planned out for our Alumni Network, we plan to host a number of events which include short MDPs, online webinars, and networking meets across major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Pune.
